The Pines is a private 18-hole championship golf course. As Australia’s only Arnold Palmer signature course, The Pines is revered as one of Australia’s best and most challenging courses with an AGU rating of 76.
Designed around 101 hectares of established pine forest The Pines features corridor approaches to several holes and 14 of the holes are contoured around stunning man-made lake. The 13th hole of the 72 par course features one of the most difficult holes in the country, and is often a source of frustration and triumph for players.
Finishing the round with a par on the par 4 18th hole is considered an achievement by many after negotiating the water hazard guarding the entire left side of the hole while avoiding the pine trees awaiting anything drifting to the right.
Reserved exclusively for members and their guests, and those staying at the nearby Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove, The Pines presents a world class golfing experience.

This was a very good course to play. Is long but reasonably forgiving. If you can't drive over 200-230m you will struggle! I think there is much better value on the coast at $160 a round!

Take out your driver, hit it hard and straight, pull it out and hit it again!
8,9,10,11 should have their own postcode - they are big enough.
This is a great course worth playing if you get the chance. When the wind gets up in the afternoon you will really have every facet of your game tested.
It's still a resort course so accuracy is not at a premium. Length on the other hand is vital.
Plenty of spectacular holes, great greens and immaculate facilities. The 18th hole is one of the best finishing holes in QLD. Get your scoring done on the front nine as the back nine doesn't give anything away.

One of the longest courses I have ever played, especially from the back tees.
During your round you'll experience many different shots as the course challenges every part of your game.
The course does often play soft, so remember to fly the ball to the flag where possible.

There is no doubt why they call this The Pines. Very interesting 1st hole...you'd swear it's a VW burial ground with all those mounds!
Worth the price!
The drinks cart was also a treat. Our playing partner managed to land his ball in it!

It is well worth the effort getting on this course and you will benefit if you have a long tee shot in your bag. Greens were consistent and true, not the quickest but very receptive to attack the pin. Lots of testing golf but not over the top so you can relax and enjoy.
