The Grand is a nice course. For years I have heard how amazing it is. The members are very friendly and the staff service is the highlight. Play it for the experience. I could never justify the price for membership, but then Im not in that social league. It’s a who’s who of Queensland business culture. Pleasant but not memorable for me.

Love the track. One of the best great white fish finger designs around although some holes bear similarities to other courses he has done like Brookwater. Course is a good length, nice mix of long and short holes.

Service at the clubhouse is supurb and if you get a guensey to play there make sure you read the framed letter from Hoootie Johnson and his response to an invite to play there.

Whilst the Grand is not overly long it is a great test of your ability to think your way around the course. Missing fairways is certainly not recommended.

It is very difficult not to be jealous of the members as the ambience is beyond being memorable. It is absolutely quiet with NO noises other than bird calls. As a member only course it is possible often to have the whole course to yourself (an absolute delight in these days of 5/6 hour rounds).

The course is made up of some good golf holes, some great golf holes and some unique golf holes - the greens and fairays are as good as it gets. You will need a members invitation BUT it will be an experience not to be forgotten.
