From the clubhouse, the 18 hole par-71 course lies in two loops of nine on separate sides of a small valley, covering 63 hectares which features meandering creeks, with an additional 20 hectares of wetlands on the low point of the course.

Enjoy the layout that stretches to 6,107 metres from the back markers across a fairly undulating landscape, which was formerly prime grazing land wedged between the sea and the Illawarra escarpment.

At the end of your game, enjoy the $3 million clubhouse that has been designed with a large boat shaped atrium and offers expansive viewing platforms over the course. There will be a hive of activity below the clubhouse verandah with three greens and three tees just a chip away.

Although Shellharbour Links is not a links in the true sense of the word, the course is subjected to plenty of winds as the ocean is just a drive and pitch from the eastern boundary. This is a tough course and will play completely different each time there is a wind change of any significance.

The rolling, mound-dotted golf landscape at Shellharbour Links is unlike anything you will find on the NSW south coast. Shellharbour Links is situated in Shellharbour City just 1 hours drive south of Sydney which makes this course ideal for a "Short Getaway".

One of the best public courses I've played on! Greens were very true and the fairways in good condition despite it being wintertime. The scenery is just a wonderful picture of the South Coast.

I am from the south coast however live and play most of my golf in the U.S. I have been meaning to play this course for a number of years and yesterday I finally had the opportunity. The course is nice and long from the back tees, placing an emphasis on mid to long iron approaches, which is always a good challenge. The fairways are in fantastic shape, and the rough is very fair. Although the greens were sanded that morning, they were hard and fast, and rolled very very well. Overall, the layout and condition of the course matched my expectations. However, we were only able to complete 13 holes in 5 hours! We played behind a social outing of 60 people, which in itself isn't a problem. The issue was the no employee of the course was interested in attempting to speed up the play. We teed off at 10:25, made the turn at 1:15, and at 3:00 were through 13 holes. We tried to remain patient, however at the end of the day, this is truly unacceptable on any course, in any context. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed to not complete 18 holes, and would hesitate to recommend the course to anyone who wants to play 18 in under 5 hours.

Played the course on a friday afternoon with 3 mates on way to a 7 - a - side football competition at Jamberoo. First thing, the booking was incredibly easy and incredibly cheap ($25 pp inc. cart!!). Was a bit worried what we might at this price but needn't have had any concerns - staff were really friendly, course was in fantastic condition and relatively challenging (we play off between 4 - 14 handicaps in our group). Pro shop prices for food/drink are extremely reasonable - $20 for 6 beers to put in the cool box attached to the cart. In summary, you get much more than what you pay for here - nice course, nice people, win win for all.

Great value, Grade 1 course ( especially from the back ). You have to bring your links game with you, staff are very courteous and the wind in the afternoon makes it a real good test.
