Played here while visiting Sydney, concierge at the Radisson recommended the course. It was a BAD recommendation. I had a tee time on a Sunday at 1:00. Arrived no carts available, finally got off at 1:30. They had sent off 8 groups within 30 minutes, took 3 hours to play 9 holes. The pro had "do not care attitude, cocky says he looks like Graham Mcdowell who give a shit. Lousy manager!!! If you are visiting Sydney DO NOT PLAY GOLF ON A WEEKEND. The courses are over booked and they do not care. They will take your money and make you wait.

A great golf course, great condition, great pro shop and a tough layout, a true test of golf! Only 15 mins from the CBD. Green fees and cart fees are very reasonable with great deals to be had on Tuesdays and Thursdays! One of Sydney's true golfing gems!

I have recently taken golf up again after a 15 year absence from the game. I am only 33 so i spent all my time as a teenager doing my best to become as good as i could. Hence my handicap was 3 at 14 years old. The course i grew up on was a links course by the ocean (similar to the coast and st michaels. The wind was always blowing, the fairway/greenside bunkers always ready to politely add a valuable stroke (or a few) to your score card and the greens were always quick and slippery. But if you nail one off the tee and it heads a little astray recovering was often not to hard. The thing with East lakes (which i have just joined 2 months ago) is that it has all this and more. The greens are true and fast, the fairways are spot on, the holes differ in lengths, layouts and challenges from one to the next and if you miss the fairway by more than 10-20 metres on most holes simply add a stroke to the card! I am going to stick with this course as i simply have to break 80 and then one day 70. But if you are a purest and want to challenge your game (and know if that handicap you hold truly belongs to you) play East Lakes...

I played this course 2 days prior and thought I would add a review. The playing surfaces were top notch (10/10) while the layout (nice variety of holes) is interesting enough to test golfers of all abilities. The only negative about this course is the first 9 holes runs away from the club house, while the last 9 holes runs back to the club house. There is a halfway house on 10th Tee but is closed on Mondays even though I played a comp round, so don't forget to pack a drink/food before you tee off as you will have to wait until you walk off the last green... My rating 8/10

My view is that this is one of the top public courses in Sydney. Played both Tuesday and Thursday I was that impressed and at $20, it was even better. A great mix of different holes and good course management is a must. A nice view of the city as well.

One of the most underrated golf courses in Sydney. The design, conditioning and scenery are all top notch. The only thing that lets this place down is the clubhouse, which unfortunately resembles a community hall from the 1970's.
