For $27, this course is well worth a visit. The most surprising aspect of this course were the greens. For the price we paid, they represented outstanding value. They ran true and pretty quick, no mean feat for September after a reasonable amount of rain during the week. No there aren't any bunkers, but is that a bad thing on a public track - where their maintenance can be really hit and miss? I say not. In no way is getting up and down easy. A vast majority of the greens are elevated, and short-siding yourself here (as I did a few times) means real trouble. It is quite patchy in places but roll it over as we did and it's no issue. Couldn't disagree more with a previous poster that it's vulnerable to being ripped up by a low marker. We played off the back tees and whilst the first few holes were reasonably sedate, it bares teeth from the 8th onwards. On a really wind day it would be a brute, I'm certain. The front nine does get a bit par-four laden but it's not a big issue. 1st is a great starting hole, and 18 is a great finishing hole where I'm certain a few hole-in-ones have kick-started a big night at the bar. The pro was a friendly fella and we played with two members who couldn't have been better blokes. They even left with our numbers for a hit in the future. Those with golf egos can stay away, but myself (single figure marker) and mates had a great time. As I said earlier, represents great value at a scratch over $25.

Okay, 2 years on since my last review and I must say, the course is in excellent condition for February, despite the heatwave(s) in January. Fairways and Greens in good shape and there is plenty of run.New resident Pro is very helpful and has had some influence on course conditions.

Playing this course 6 months ago, it was in the best condition seen in years, however after playing there last week, I will avoid it - the greens are now all patchy, looks like they are not watering them enough.

Played the front 9 here yesterday, we only got around 9 because it was way, way too windy. Straight drives were ending up 2 fairways over. Front nine is solid, fairways are in good condition as are the greens. They look slick but rolled quite slow though. Every green on the front was raised, they obviously have drainage issues in the winter. Course is fairly straight and with only immature trees, it's relatively easy. Back 9 actually looks more interesting than the front. Decent course but it's a long way from Melbourne and there are plenty of better courses closer to the City. I would probably liken this course to Goonawarra.

Played here a couple of days ago, the course is in fantastic condition. Fairways were consistent and well looked after. Greens were a good pace and not too much damage. That being said it was a fairly straight forward course and low handicappers would tear it apart. There is no bunkers on this course. Great course to play and nice and wide for beginners

Greens are very patchy. Good tees and fairways. All holes are very basic and very straight. Not sure how they can class a par 4 at 431m when it directly follows a 426m par 5. Both straight (surprise!)with nothing to them.
