Ben Hogan Edge CFT (Irons)

Ben Hogan | Irons | User Rating: Rate-4 (4.5) | Add A Review

Designed for those golfers who want to improve their game but do not have hours to spend on the practice range like Mr. Hogan did.

Ben Hogan Edge CFT irons utilise a unique 2 piece manufacturing process featuring a compression forged titanium face insert.

This process allows more weight to be shifted to the perimeter areas of the club head creating an easy to hit iron with a high hot launch angle for distance and accuracy.

The Multi-Dimensional Weight Distribution design moves added weight not only in to the perimeter of the club, but also further back, much like a metal wood provides a lower, deeper centre of gravity for optimal launch angles throughout the set.

A highlighted leading edge score-line provides easier alignment down the target line.

have had these clubs a year now , they are the 3# flex in graphite and can honestly say im am starting to reap the rewards. i have a 4 iron through to e wedge with 56 deg colonial for sand and chip shots.

the long irons are great if swung smoothly ,beware the overswing .short irons are fantastic high launch with great feedback of the stick .the 56 deg wedge is superb .i use soft balls which really provide the fell that i need .if youre looking to reduce your handicap these are a great choice ive come down from 31 down to 22 and really gaining now

Very pleased with the improvement in my iron play.Use regular flex graphite shafts.I have gained at least one club in distance and because these irons really grip the ball,I can attack the pins in most conditions.

These are some great irons. Great for the high handicapper. I have the regular flex Apex shafts which have a nice weight and just the right amount of flex for me. Also the heads have a decent weight to them which seems to help you get the ball up and on its way. Very nice balance in all of the clubs.

Very forgiving, even when hit on the toe, which I often do. Shots are nice and straight, high and long. You get that nice click when you hit a good shot, and you just know the ball has exploded off those titanium faces. Faces are a little hot for delicate chips and pitches, however. I intend to get some blade-style wedges for this.

For cast, cavity-back irons, they have a nice soft feel off the face, which gives decent feedback.

The irons are very well made and look stunning with their high-gloss chromed finish and BH sun logos.

I have the Apex #3 steel shafts, and I really like the feel and weight/balance of these clubs. I get a good feel for the clubhead throughout the swing. Pure hits give a clean 'click' sound, and for me result in a straight flight with good trajectory.

I've found these clubs to be very straight and certainly forgiving, with mishits still getting good distance. The flipside is that I find them quite hard to work in either direction.

I've found I get good check-up spin with these irons (I use NXT tour balls). I find the short irons a bit hot for pitching and chipping - I use a 52° Cleveland or 58° Vokey wedge in these circumstances.

At address, the clubs present a thick topline compared to blades - I'm not really fussed either way, so its not an issue for me.

These irons are fantastic for mid/high handicappers like me.

Firstly, there made by a great company.

Secondly, they have a forged titanium insert in the face of the club.

Thirdly, at address they feel like blades and are not 'chunky' and off puitting.

Fourth, they only have a little offset so they allow some shot shaping.

Fifth, there cheap compared to TM RAC's, Titleist 762's, and other in their class.

Just the clubs I've been waiting for!!!

Try them!
