I purchased the Ping G5 3 wood with aldila stiff shaft. The club has a rather large and deep face which makes it difficult for me to hit off the fairway. However, I enjoy hitting this club off the tee. The club is very pleasant to look at while adressing the club.

I bought my G5 3 wood and 5 wood from a local pawn shop of all places simply because I was selling some old clubs and the pawn shop gave me the best deal. Having bought these clubs and used them for 3 years I am sold on their reliability. The 5 Wood is brilliant and seems to almost hit as long as the 3 with good accuracy. They look a classy club with their "half-moon" shading in the head and they don’t let their looks down. Fellow players marvel at how well I hit these clubs. Consistent and long….that’s all I want. These clubs will never leave my bag. I use the regular graphite shaft that is standard fit.
I tried the hybrid as well but these 2 clubs suit most occasions for me.
