The perfect choice for golfers seeking a medium trajectory and increased spin for added carry and distance.

I bought this driver from a friend who brought it home from the states. All in all it's not a bad driver, giving fairly consistent drives. What I am disappointed about is it's lack of distance. It's a 9.5° stiff shaft, and I would say it's about 20 m shorter than my old Cobra Blue Ice Titanium 8.5°. It also lacks that solidly hit feel I get when I am able to latch onto a drive sometimes.

I have recently purchased a Taylor Made R540 8.5 degree Driver with the m.a.s 70 Stiff shaft.
My last driver was the Callaway Great Big bertha Hawkeye 8.5 Degree with Stiff Rifle graphite shaft & I have found that i hit the R540 consistently further (avg around 280-290+ Metres) and straighter than the Callaway. Don't get me wrong the Callaway is a great club (for a 7 year old club) but for me the Taylor Made R540 was very forgiving,Long & strong

I hit my m8s R540 with a Grafalloy Prolite 35 Stiff. This is the 9.5° version. He bought it off a +1 Handicapper who SMASHED it 300+. I hit it on the 1st at Jindalee 285m. My previous best was 235m. ITS THE BEST EVER!!!

It has to be the staightest driver i've used, it is as long as other NEW drivers I've used, but far more forgiving. I have not been in the rough for the last 72 holes, my parteners hate it !!!!
