Pros...
A fantastic driver for the golfer that wants to hit straighter drives. Very consistent and great feeling club. Makes every shot feel as though you hit the sweet spot. Travels well even on off centre hits.
Cons...
Not the biggest driver I've hit - try the Snakeyes to be the longest ball hitter in your group. Higher ball trajectory - choose the 9.5 degree if you can hit a 10 degree well
Overall, a worthwhile club to have in the bag...very hard to be in trouble in the centre of the fairway!!!

The best and most forgiving driver I have ever hit, made a hell of a difference to my game it alone has dropped my handicap from 12-7 it is a must have in your bag.

This is a fantastic club and deserves the praise it recieves from every positive review.
The 580 XD is a very forgiving driver - longer, straighter drives more often. It has a large 440CC head and feels soft to hit.
Other drivers tested: Adams Driver, Cleveland Launcher, Srixon XX10. The XX10 came close to matching the distance of the 580 XD, but the head was smaller and not as soft to hit.
The TaylorMade 580 XD is a great club with a large sweet spot and is well worth the money.

I can hit this thurther, straighter with more consistency and with good forgiveness only expected from such a big headed driver, and looks good too, it's worth every cent!

Good looking club, Huge sweet spot,
Equal or better length when compared to all my playing partners drivers.
Has ability to be shaped, prefers straight
When swinging well a fairway hitter ( 14 HCap )

This driver (R580XD) has made all the difference to my game. Traded up from a smaller steel headed club and will never look back. Straight and long with an easy swing - suddenly I have confidence with driver off the tee & use it whenever I can. Huge head, very light, and very forgiving for those off-centre hits.

Massive head,Massive distance.
I prefer this driver over the new R7.I can hit the R580XD much further than the R7.
Throw out the original shaft,Get a pro to set you up with the right shaft for you and you'll gain extra metres.Easily the longest driver I have hit.
Good workability and nice feedback.
