TaylorMade V Steel (Fairway Woods)

The TaylorMade V Steel is the perfect wood for the golfer who wants power, accuracy, and versatility. Its unique V-shaped sole improves the way it interacts with the turf at impact, promoting more control and force.

A high MOI (Moment of Inertia) enhances forgiveness, making this fairway wood exceedingly easy to hit. The 455 Steel clubface creates the highest allowable COR (Coefficient of Restitution).

Finished off with a MAS Graphite shaft, this club proves to be as good-looking as it is powerful.

V-Steel was the best (in my experience) until the latest Burner. Cleveland Launcher Steel, Adams Redline Titanium & Macgregor V-Foil also very good.

Worst – Callaway.

Best 3wood I have ever hit….use to have a Callaway Steelhead Plus and the Vsteel sits better and is easier to hit off the deck….

I have the TaylorMade V Steel 3 wood. Got it at the same time I bought a Callaway driver to compare. The Callaway aint bad, but the TaylorMade is a corker. Great off the tee or off the deck. Guess who is looking for a TaylorMade 5 wood.

since I use to use the taylormade 300 series fairways. I was use to the taylormade feel. But, I felt it was time to upgrade. my first instinct was to look at all the options available to me. I tried alot of other brands but, nothing seemed to slot in place. With building frustration, it started to affect my game. I slowly was becoming a hacker again. With confidence on a drop I almost gave up looking. Then on one fine sunny day I walked into my “other” local golf store, and on a browse of what could have been the last time. I came across the v-steel fairways (a 3 wood 15 degree to be exact). I asked the store guy to try it on there state of the art golf simulator. To my astonishment the ball went long and straight. In a state of dis-belief I dropped another ball and the same thing happened. I bought it, and went straight to the nearest driving range. I think the guys watching at the range thought i was a pro and to be honest, I felt like one too. Everyones different but, for me these clubs are the best I have ever hit with. and like I said, I tried everything.

I finally found the club that for me is the ideal 2nd shot club for getting to the green on those long par 5s. I have a high handicap but found this club immediately easy to use. Even for a novice its pretty easy to get the ball beyond 170 yards - and straightish. I might recommend the high handicap player start with the 5 wood - its just easier to use. I am hitting the ball with this club around 200 yards on the perfect hits (which is pretty easy to achieve). I also have a Rescue Dual (4 iron replacement) and find that the V-Steel sits nicely in performance between my hybrid and my driver (although the Rescue Dual is easier to keep straight for me at this stage). Naturally the swing to me using the V club is more like a drive hit (since it is a longer club) the shorter hybrids in contrast are more like iron shots and I find them straighter but not as long.)

Fantastic Club!!!

Great to hit off the tee. Very long and nice trajectory. Not as forgiving as some but still quite playable for most players. Doesn't get up in the air so great in windy conditions!

Looked far and wide for a good fairway wood. While there is nothing special about the V-Steel it is just a really good, consistent club. Got the T/S 13° and feel sooo confident with it off the tee or from the fairway. Highly recommended.

Have a 3W(15deg)and 5W(18deg) in the bag. The ball just rockets off the face with the sweetest metallic sound. Solid feel with decent weight in the heads. Mis-hits are no disaster either. Couldn't be happier.

The 3 wood, exellent feel and good trajectory, able to work the ball either way. confidence booster off the tee on tight holes. Great length and straight up the middle. Need a good lie to get them sweet, tend to be a bit skinny off tie lies

the ball flight of this club is super. Its face is very hot with a dead straight shot pattern. This club is a little nicer in the deep stuff than the 200 series which i also own. With the same feel as the 200s. pick one up and give it a swing its a very solid club much like a titleist weight
