Callaway Big Bertha Fusion FT-3 (Drivers)

Callaway Golf has introduced the Big Bertha Fusion FT-3 Driver, a new 460-cc multi-material breakthrough driver designed to deliver the ultimate in high performance. The FT-3 Driver combines Callaway Golf’s patented internal weight-shifting technology with a precision-tuned face to deliver the new science of distance with accuracy – explosiveness and forgiveness unlike anything you have experienced in a driver.

Fusion Technology is all about the marriage of two distinctly different materials in the clubhead: an ultra-hot titanium cup face and a superlight carbon composite body. The body of the clubhead is so light, it frees up 44 grams of discretionary weight – nearly a quarter of the weight of the entire clubhead – which is distributed inside various parts of the head to benefit golfers’ unique swing types and ball flights.

All the discretionary weight in the FT-3 – far more than any competitor’s driver – gave Callaway Golf club engineers the latitude to precisely position it to maximise stability and generate corrective-spin characteristics. This is as important to amateurs of all levels as it is to top-tier pros.

The FT-3 Drivers’ 460cc clubhead is the largest allowable head volume under the Rules of Golf. It serves to increase Moment of Inertia (MOI) for extreme forgiveness on off-center hits and exceptionally consistent ball speed up, down and across the face.

The Big Bertha Fusion FT-3 Driver is available in lofts of 9°, 10°, 11°, and HT (High Trajectory) and comes standard with the proprietary Callaway Golf Fusion NVS graphite shaft from Aldila (Light, Regular, Stiff and Ladies flexes), which promotes a higher ball flight. Left-handed versions of the Big Bertha Fusion FT-3 Driver are available in 10° and 11° lofts.

Congratulations Callaway on delivering one of the most potent drivers on the market.

Specs that i am currently using are 10.5 with a fujikurra tour spec 652 speeder.I currently play of 4 and never thought i would use a 10.5 loft again but this driver can hit it low or high with just a small stance change.

The 460cc head looks like a 400 and the noise it makes is a little offputting until you see it sail off 260+ metres you soon become use to it.

I have ditched my 905R for this baby and should have done it months ago but hated the sound it makes.Eveybody NEEDS one of these best driver currently on the market. And trust me i have hit them all.

I got my FT-3 at a good price on ebay and haven't regretted a dollar of it. It hits straight, even on the mis-hits and I've gained an extra 10 -20 metres without much effort at all. I'm now out hitting my golf partners and that's the best bit of all.

Bought this beast two weeks ago and I'm over the moon with it. I'm normally about 230 meters of the tee, I have added 10-15 mters with this driver. I have long been sceptical about internal or external weights in drivers but I'm now starting to believe the hype about the draw bias advertised in this driver. I can now hit a decent draw that carries not a pretend draw (duck hook) that goes 180. The sound is a bit hollow but really I dont by drivers for sound effects. Accuravy wise its so consistent. Its a 460 head but it doesnt feel like it at adress. The head has a one degree closed face which gives you confidence at adress. Yeah it aint cheap at $600 but I hit an TM R7 and Ping G5 and they wernt in the same league for distnce or consistency. Callaway have struck a winner with this one.

I love my new FT3 driver. Its the first driver that i have been able to consistently hit straight with.

I used to drive with my 3 wood but since i got the FT3 i've been 40 -50 m futher and have lost 3 shots because of it. I give it a 9 out of 10 though.

The cost was pretty expensive but definately worth it.
