Callaway X460 (Drivers)

Callaway | Drivers | User Rating: Rate-4 (4.5) | Add A Review

Callaway Golf has announced a limited South Pacific region launch of the Callaway Golf X460 Driver, an all-titanium driver combining a robust face with modified VFT (Variable Face Thickness) Technology and a newly-designed sole that helps eliminate alignment problems. The X460 Driver is available in standard, Tour and women’s models across the South Pacific region with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of AUD$479.

The X460 Driver incorporates CT/VFT Technology across more of the face than any all-titanium driver Callaway Golf has ever made, resulting in more ball speed on mis-hit shots. This next generation of VFT Technology takes ball speed right up to the legal limit under the Characteristic Time (CT) standard established by the United States Golf Association (USGA).

The unique shaping of the X-Sole creates a larger, more forgiving face area – fully 10 percent larger than the Big Bertha Titanium 454 Driver face – through the design of a concave space in the center of the sole. Weight and volume taken from that area are moved forward and down, expanding the face. In addition, the powerful 460 cc head of the X460 Driver equals the USGA limit and contributes to a higher moment of inertia and rock-solid stability.

The new Callaway Golf X460 Driver is available in lofts of 9°, 10°, 11°, and HT (High Trajectory) and comes standard with a 64 gram Fujikura shaft and is available in Light, Regular and Stiff flexes. Left-handed versions of the X460 Driver are available in 9° and 10° lofts.

The women’s version of the Callaway Golf X460 Driver is available in lofts of 10°, 11°, and HT (High Trajectory) and comes standard with a Black and Ice Blue 55 gram Fujikura shaft (Ladies flex). A women’s left-handed model is available in 10° loft.

Excellent solid Ti sound

and Beautiful shaped for a 460cc vol it’s now smaller in dimensions than a lot of other 460ccs but still instill enuff confidence at address and swing wise

Stock regular shaft is good enuff for me

i am rating this on average 8.5 / 10 maybe 9/10 on a good day

This driver is the best i have ever owned.Fantastic off the center of the face and not too hard to find it.miss hits are more noticeable by the lack of noise than lack of distance.

Takes a bit of getting used too. But once you have the correct set up goes like a rocket. Even with the stiff shaft you don't need to swing too hard. The big head makes for a very forgiving club even with mishits.
