Why dont more people know about Wilson golf products. Because only a few Pro's use Wilson. I purchased Dep Red Irons- Fat Shafts. i had read and had brought a new set of clubs 8 months ago. i thought they were good. But when I hit my first Fat Shaft iron, I knew I had to buy it. Got them for $699.00 aud, brand new. Yeah they arent the current model but at that price I wasted no time and got a set.
Have played with them twice on a course., and once a a driving range. Range is ok for your swing but the balls they use can mke the clubs seem inferior.
First course was a short one, so you would hit driver and then use a 9 iron up. But must admit the length I was hitting the 8, 9 and p/w, left me needing to try the other clubs.
So of I went. Was able to hit all clubs in bag. They have added at least 20 meters to what i was hitting. I stood on a Par 3, 178 meters. Normally I would have had a 3 iron, maybe a 4 iron. Also felt with my swing I should be able to hit longer. Well these clubs allow that now. I used a 5 iron, and it travelled pin high, 178 meters.
The sweet spot is awesome. When you miss hot slightly its very unforgiving. Cant wait to get another chance to play with these clubs in the near future.
Go to pro shop and have a hit, you will be surprised. I tried some Precept and Srixon, but the Wilson Deep Red Fat Shafts kept appealing to me.
Great clubs, and sad fact that not more is written about them.
Recommend them. I play off about 18. So consistancy is what I am looking for, and I know I have found it in these clubs. Just swing easy, not to hard and then let the huge sweet spot do the rest.
