Been playing the MP 57s for a couple of months now and am loving the solid silky feel of them. As the previous reviewers have commented, they can be worked both ways easily, but a smooth swing is essential. I have the stiff shafts in mine and have found that it offers a mid height ball flight, which is an improvement on my previously higher ball flight irons.

The distance from these irons is comparable to any others I’ve hit, but the thing with these is the control and the sheer confidence they inspire.

They have made me fall in love with long irons once again, as they are just so solid and consistent and easy to use.

You don’t need to swing these clubs hard in order to get great distance, just a smooth swing is all you need and you’ll reap the rewards of this truly great forged iron set.

They feel great, hit great and they have that beautiful understated Mizuno look that appeals.

Have had my MP57’s for about 3 months, just love them. They aren’t super long but they are more accurate, and the biggest improvement in my game has been the distance control. I play on quite large greens, and where I use to just pull out 7 iron from the 135m mark I know can hit 3 different clubs depending on where the pin is. I make way more birdies now, and my bad shots don’t miss by as much. All of this and they look mean as and people really notice them which is cool. If your not quite ready for blades, these are a great club for a low to mid handicap golfer.

I cant say enough good stuff about these irons. Agree very forgiving for a players club…it appears players club but the neat little cavity doesnt jump out and scream hacker clubs…its subtle and at adress they look like blades pretty much

diastnce wise they are not longer than other clubs but no less either. The great thing I noticed was ball control…I play on links course where wind is a factor…I immediately could shape it the way I wanted or hit low runners if need be with a shut face if I wanted to.

I have NS pro shafts in mine as Im not a superfast swinger but I was able to get 140 meters out of a 7 iron so Im happy….

great feedback when you dont hit it well but pure when middled…I was always skeptical about mizuno…hmm are you paying for the brand name…rest assured folks yes your paying for the brand because the brand is bloody good…..the shorts irons are great too…and you can hit lovely touch shots with the PW and 9 iron….

they are the best irons I have ever had…and the MP 57 are going cheaper because the new MP 58’s has come in but they look ugly with the inserts in cavity and the MP 58’s are a smaller head too which you dont need….

Have been using these clubs for about 3-4 months now. They are what you expect from Mizuno. A well made/constructed iron with wonderful feel that you get from all good irons. I really like the size of the head and the cavity which gives some forgiveness. The reality is though, if you miss it, you will get feedback telling you… you missed it. I have 1992 model Hogan Apex blades and I think they are a great club. The Mizuno’s have a little more forgiveness, but not much. They both feel very good out of the middle. You can work the 57’s no problems. If you like the look, then go for it. I think when you are purchasing all the top end type players clubs, they really are all very similar. It comes down to personal preference and how much you like them. They are going cheapish, so I’d say give them a go.
