TaylorMade Burner Draw (Drivers)

TaylorMade Golf is introducing a new addition to its phenomenally popular Burner line of golf equipment, the Burner Draw driver, which incorporates two of the most effective performance technologies that the company has ever developed – SuperFast Technology and Draw-Weighted Technology. The result is a driver that delivers more clubhead speed, more ball speed and more draw-promoting capabilities than any driver TaylorMade has ever created.

SuperFast Technology unites an extremely light 50-gram RE*AX graphite shaft made by Fujikura with a grip weighing approximately eight grams less than the average grip. Additionally, the shaft is one inch longer than average, making Burner Draw 46” long. Together these elements promote faster clubhead speed for faster ball speed and longer distance. SuperFast Technology makes the Burner Draw weigh approximately 20 grams lighter than the average driver.

Draw-Weighted Technology concentrates additional weight in the heel portion of the clubhead, which makes it easier to rotate the clubface back to a square position at impact. Making the face easier to square encourages the counter-clockwise spin (for right-handed players) necessary to produce a draw. Compared to a fade, a draw flies slightly lower and rolls farther after landing, resulting in greater distance.

Besides promoting longer and straighter drives, the Burner Draw is extremely easy to hit. Its deep-faced, 460 cc titanium head sets up powerfully behind the ball, and includes the same attractive crown lines originated in the Burner and Burner TP drivers. However, the Burner Draw measures longer from the clubface to the clubhead’s rear than the standard Burner, allowing for an extremely low and deep CG location to help get the ball in the air on a high flight.

The Burner Draw driver is available in lofts of 9.5 and 10.5 degrees.

10.5 with regular flex

I wanted to get a driver to replace the stock driver that came with my golf set. Tried it over 9 holes before the day got washed out. What a difference it has made compared to the my last driver.
8 tee shots in the middle of the fairway and one tee shot which had a slight slice and hit a tree. Just need to adjust for the slight ballooning effect, but I couldn’t be happier. Now I need to work on my other shots.

iam a 25 handicapper and was having a lot of problems with my driver with a huge slice ,so i decicded to purchase a 13loft taylor made burner draw. This club is awesome i cannot believe how straight it has made my drives and gaining at least 30 metres, i would recommend a 13loft for most middle the road handicappers ,you will love this club if you slice looks a bit weird when you set up but keep it forward and do your normal set up and swing and you will enjoy .You will hook a couple of shots before you get used to it don’t despair.

I decided to give this Taylormade Burner Draw a try since, I most often drive with a slight slice. What a difference a day makes. One day you slice…and the next day (with the help of the Burner Draw) ...you don’t.

So far so good. I have played a few rounds with this driver and I really don’t see any extreme draw, but rather more of a draw roll after the ball lands. I have gained about 25-30 extra yards because of this draw roll.

I would recommend this driver to anyone who leads with your hands and hits a slight slice.

As a 19 handicapper and a senior, I was impressed with the consistency of length and distance obtained with the 30 odd shots I tested the 10.5 with M rated shaft and also the R shaft. It is typical for me to swing faster on the long holes for distance off the tee. The fade, (yes also a slice) I get from the faster swing appeared well controlled with the draw built into this club. I cannot afford the $499 at present, but I will keep an eye on EBay for the Taylor made Burner Draw
