The wedges feature a tungsten weight in the toe of the club which increases the moment of inertia and improves forgiveness. The use of this high-density material also allows the club to be slightly smaller for increased playability out of various conditions.
By using a vertical Custom Tuning Port (CTP), PING engineers were able to move the center of gravity down and forward to allow the correct head rotation during a shot.
Designed with a traditional tear drop shape, the Tour-W Wedges allow golfers to be more creative on pitch and chip shots around the green.
The wedges feature a patented hosel notch that controls the bend point for precise loft and lie adjustments. They are available in 47°, 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58° and 60° lofts with multiple bounce options at 54°, 56°, 58° and 60°. These various lofts and bounce options help golfers to improve their game by offering a more precise fit for an assortment of swing styles and turf conditions.
The Tour-W Wedges will be available in a brushed silver chrome finish in all loft/bounce options and black nickel chrome finish in limited loft/bounce options.
MSRP is US$125 w/steel shaft; US$152.50 w/graphite shaft.
