The TaylorMade Burner High Launch fairway wood is engineered to make it easy to launch the ball on a towering, long-carrying flight at average swing speeds. The TaylorMade Burner High Launch has Dual Crown technology, wherein the size of the crown is noticeably smaller than the large sole. It also has Ultra-Thin Wall technology, which allows the clubhead walls to measure as thin as just .55 millimetres.
All of the weight saved by Dual Crown technology and Ultra-Thin Wall technology is redistributed to create an exceptionally deep CG location that’s also 35% lower than previous comparable Burner fairway woods, making it extremely easy to hit while promoting a lower spin-rate for longer distance.
The TaylorMade Burner High Launch fairway wood features a fast-looking triangular Burner head shape that looks large when positioned behind the ball, to inspire confidence. The larger triangular head of the Burner High Launch makes possible an exceptionally deep, far-from-the-face CG location that makes it easy to launch the ball while also contributing to greater stability and forgiveness.
The Burner High Launch boasts the largest size and footprint of any TaylorMade steel fairway wood, and its MOI measures 6% higher than TaylorMade’s previous Burner fairway woods.
The Burner High Launch fairway woods incorporate TaylorMade’s SuperFast technology, to promote faster swing speed for increased distance.
Three Burner High Launch fairway woods are available in 3 (15°), 5 (18°) and 7 (21°) woods. Burner High Launch combines a SuperFast 49-gram graphite shaft with Arrow 2 ultra-light 44-gram grip.

I am a mid – high handicapper and have been looking for a while now for a “go-to” club when my Driver off the tee is mis behaving. This club is fantastic! I find it very forgiving on off centre hits and I tend to hit a mid flight sort of shot with it.
It is very easy to hit off the deck.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to consistently shape shots using the club but I would say that its more a reflection of my ability than the club.
I would strongly recommend that you try this club at a demo day and for high handicappers the 3 wood is a good send on those pesky par 5’s.
