Cleveland HiBORE XL (Drivers)

Cleveland | Drivers | User Rating: Rate-5 (5.0) | Add A Review

The Cleveland HiBORE XL driver features a special geometry that moves weight lower and deeper into the clubhead, optimising the center of gravity (CG) location for ideal launch conditions. For maximum ball speed, the XL has a larger sweet spot compared to traditional large-volume drivers and, paired with the deep CG, its high moment of inertia increases stability on off-centre hits. The result? Greater overall distance and tighter shot dispersion over the entire face.

  • Distance Driven Geometry – Moves weight lower and deeper in the clubhead to optimize CG location with the C.O.R. Hot Spot for optimal launch conditions.
  • Full Face Performance – Alignment of the Sweet Spot with the C.O.R. Hot Spot produces optimal launch conditions for efficient energy transfer.
  • High Moment of Inertia – High MOI and deeper CG provide increased stability on off-centre hits, leading to greater distance and a tighter shot dispersion over the entire face.

Just garnered one from Scratch @ RockBottom Golf in the good ole US of A. $Au130 delivered in 2-5 days. How good’s that? Be a change from the Titleist 965J. Rated in advance

I got this driver about eight weeks ago and at first it took a bit of getting used to but now that i have been useing it for a while i have become very confident with it and i am hitting the ball not only straighter but i have also added about 40-50 metres on to my drives and this has become very consistent and has shown in my score.

Great underrated club. Very straight and forgiving, the stock shaft is very good IMO and you can pick an XL up for a bargain now that the XLS is out. Most people would benefit from the Gold shaft rather than the Red which tends to suit higher swing speeds of >110mph.

This is a good club. I increased my carry distance by 15-30 depending on conditions. It’s also forgiving. It goes straight and far

This is a great club. Low dispersion, much deeper face than the existing Hibore and a great stock shaft. It is long on mishits and is great value for money. Worth a look

I got the old HiBore. This one is much more balanced.

Probably similar to other golfers, this club looks weird. I have over the last couple of years been using a Taylormage R580 with a penly stealth 70 shaft (a great combination and long) with no complaints.

At the local golf shop they had a hit and survey day, that is were I grabbed the HiBore XL and put it to the test.

What a delight to hit, its very very long with little effort. So I then borrowed a demo club (9.5 with red tour shaft) and went and had a round. This club was consistantly longer (up to 10-20 metres)and easier to control. When I returned it I bought one and have not looked back. In 6 weeks I have reduced my handicap from 6 to 4.5 just thru consistancy from the tee. All smiles from A very happy golfer.
