These are hard to find, but I discovered a full set 1-SW with Sensicore shafts on eBay in the US.

Bought them on spec because I had an original set of Aussie blades in the early 80s. These new models are easily the best club I have ever used. They feel head heavy but are the sweetest things to hit I have ever felt. Maxfli Sydney told me they have some heads in stock but they are discontinued. If you like blades grab a set while you can. It might be a few years before they "rediscover" these blades, again.

When I was looking for new irons, I grabbed a bunch of 5 irons: Hogan Apex Edge Pro, Tourstage Z101, and then a Maxfli Australian Blade as an afterthought. I really wanted to like either the AEP or Z101, but immediately fell in love the with the Australian blade.

They set up very cleanly, with a compact head, thin topline and no offset. Of course there's that absolutely sweet feeling on clean shots.

Perhaps more surprisingly, they are much more forgiving on off center shots than I expected. You certainly know its not off the middle, but its not painful, and for me is simply shorter in distance but still on line. With X100s the dispersion is very tight. I personally prefer the immediate feedback from off-center shots.

The soft feel is most apparent in the shorter irons, with great feedback on partial pitches and chips.

Unfortunately these aren't produced any more, but I was lucky enough to be able to get hold of a set of new heads, so they are still around.
