I first got these irons when i got serious about golf as a young`un.

They have an oversize head with progressive offset, and come standard with cord grips.

They're actually very easy to hit, and even the sand wedge which is still a cavityback in this model, can have its face opened to a certain degree for delicate chip shots, which can be very hard to do with some oversize models.

Ive never had a problem getting spin with them as the square shaped grooves provide a good grab.

The only thing i dont like (now, rather than earlier as ive become a better player with these) is that the offset is more noticeable in the 3-iron than the 4, significantly anyway.Alot of manufacturers have trouble with the aesthetics of an oversize 3-iron- giving it offset without makng it look like a garden rake head turned on its side.

The VHLs arent anywhere near that bad, but it is noticeable. And seeing as confidence plays a big part at address, these clubs would definetly more suit a mid/high handicaper looking for a really good quality reliable club at an afffordable price that is easy to it, rather than a low handicaper obviously preferring a more traditional look and feel.
