Augusta National announces field for 2003 US Masters

Invitations have been issued to six players to compete in the 2003 Masters, it was announced by Hootie Johnson, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament. The addition of these players increases the Masters total invitations to 102. This year's Tournament will be contested April 7-13 2003.

According to qualifications, Davis Love III, the winner of The Players Championship qualified for a three-year invitation to the Masters.

Also, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus announced they would compete in the 2003 Masters. This year will mark the 49th and 43rd Masters for Palmer and Nicklaus, respectively.
