It seems Aaron Baddeley’s luck just goes from bad to worse. Baddeley was due to make his US PGA Tour return this week at the Buick Classic following a three-month injury hiatus, however, a bout of the flu has postponed his return to tournament golf by a week.
He will delay his return until next week’s St Jude Classic to continue where he left off, in what has been a frustrating year for the young Australian.
Baddeley was forced off the Tour by an ankle injury he sustained while playing frisbee football. The injury has kept him out of every tournament since March including the US Masters and US Open.
He began the year by forcing Ernie Els in to a play-off at the Sony Open and then went on to finish in sixth place at the Bay Hill Invitational in March, just prior to sustaining his ankle injury.
During his three month break he has slipped to 50th place on the US PGA Tour money list with total earnings of over AUD$1 million, and although he has already secured his card for next year, he is looking forward to his return.
