Nick Faldo fired back to back 68’s while John Daly and Retief Goosen were in a group at -3. Defending champion Bernhard Langer shot a 69 to make the cut by just a stroke at Even Par.
As mentioned earlier, Peter Lonard, leads the Australians in second place. Jarrod Moseley is next best, three strokes back at -7 and in equal 5th. Peter O’Malley sits in 16th, Nick O’Hern 27th, Stephen Leaney and Lucas Parsons 45th, Greg Turner 58th and Scott Gardiner at 1 (T62). Boult, Scahill, Fowler and Rumford missed the cut.
