Flanagan advances to quarter finals at US Amateur

Nick Flanagan has advanced to quarter finals of the US Amateur Championship Matchplay section with two hard fought wins today.
In his first match this morning Flanagan edged out Andrew Pratt by a 2 & 1 margin in a match that was close throughout and in the afternoon match against Jason Hartwick he was again successful by a 2 & 1 margin although, unlike this morning’s round, he was never headed.
In tomorrow’s quarter final Flanagan takes on the 44 year old Jerry Courville from Connecticut.
