Perske takes lead at Queensland Open

Sunshine Coast amateur Andrew Sousaari has upstaged a classy professional field by scoring a hole in one at the second hole in the opening day of the Queensland Open Golf Championship at Ipswich.
Sousaari, a qualifier for the $100,000 event, joined debut professional Richard Moir in acing the second while Gold Coast professional Wayne Perske held on to a one shot advantage on the leader board.
Perske shot a five under par 67 in the morning round to head off Ryan Haller, Marcus Cain and little known Alan Patterson, all on four under par 68.
