Katayama wins by nine at ABC Championship

A last round 64 in today’s ABC Championship, has seen Japanese star Shingo Katayama blitz the field by nine shots.

Katayama who won earlier in the year at the Japan Tour PGA Championship has also been second and third in two of his last three events and the win now takes him to third on this season’s money list with just over 88 million yen. It was Katayama’s 14th win on the Japan PGA Tour.

Katsumasa Miyamoto held on for second one shot ahead of Tsuyoshi Yoneyama.

Brendan Jones was the best of the down under brigade in 13th place, Steve Conran 28th, Paul Sheehan 51st and Richard Lee 58th.
