As the morning field finishes their rounds at the 2003 Emerald Lakes Queensland PGA Championship, the lead is currently held by Victorian David Diaz and Brisbane’s Marcus Cain who are both at twelve under for the event. They have a one shot lead over Andrew Bonhomme who also reached twelve under before a bogey at the fifteenth saw him slip one shot behind. Both Cain and Diaz have three holes to play.

The round of the day came from Peter Senior who despite a bogey, bogey start, produced eleven birdies in the next sixteen holes to finish his round at 63 to be a ten under for the tournament and two from the lead.

Scott Draper walked from the last green frustrated with his putting after having 34 and 35 putts respectively in rounds one and two. He was last seen spending time with Norman Von Nida on the practice putting green but alas any benefit gained from such advice will not be utilised this weekend as Draper has missed the cut. His rounds of 73 and 72, given his lack of experience in tournament golf, highlight a game of significant potential.
