Seven Australians and one New Zealander have made the fourth round cut at the European Tour School in Spain and they now face a further 36 holes to determine those who will make the top 35 and ties to play the European Tour in 2004.

South Australian Wade Ormsby is the best of them in third place after adding a 66 today, Paul Marantz and Daniel Gaunt are 9th, Terry Price is 13th, Craig Spence 19th, New Zealander Gareth Padisson 30th, Adam Crawford 36th and Stephen Collins just sneaking inside the cut in 71st place.

Ormsby has shown, in his limited time as a professional, that he may well go on to a successful professional career. Ormsby was one of the leading players on the Cougars team during his time at the University of Houston and he looks to follow in the footsteps Steve Elkington as an Australian who has used the University of Houston as a stepping stone to success. The 23-year-old finished fifth at the New Zealand Open earlier this year in one of his few appearances as a professional in this part of the world.
