A couple of the more senior golfers on the Buy.Com Tour featured in this week’s finish at the Omaha Classic.

41 year old Jay Delsing despite some shaky moments on Sunday’s back nine held off the fast finishing 37 year old Australian Anthony Painter to win for the second time on the secondary tour. Desling has played the PGA Tour since 1985 but has, with a couple of exceptions, struggled to hold his card each year. He has managed to get enough starts to keep going however and it was not until last year that he was forced to play a full season on this tour for the first time.

Painter had produced wekend rounds of 65 and 64 to keep Delsing honest.

Desling’s win here has him inside the top twenty on the money list as is the case with Painter and Desling may yet find himself back on the PGA Tour next season.

Mark Hensby was ninth, Aaron Baddeley was 15th and Nathan Green 68th.
