Gale only just hangs on at Champions Tour Q-School

The task facing Terry Gale in tomorrow’s final round of qualifying for the 2004 Champions Tour is pretty well defined. It appears that in order for him to gain one of the only eight cards available he will need a round of 69 or better to have any chance.
His third round 76 today has seen him slip from 4th to a share of 16th and while there are seven non-exempt cards in addition to the eight fully exempt, it is the latter version that is sought after. This gives a player full privileges on the US Champions Tour and in many cases a license to print money.
The other Australian in the field, John Victorsen, made a little progress in round three but at six over his task is almost impossible.
