Linde takes lead on day one

Perfect winter conditions allowed several players to get off to a solid start on day one of the AUD$31,000 Mazda NSW Trainee Championships at the Horizons Golf Resort. Kurt Linde from Belmont Golf Club, who won the recent QLD Trainee Championship at the Hyatt Collum, fired a superb -5 (67) to take a three stroke lead into round two. New South Welshman and defending champion Danny Vera, could not quite match Linde but is off to a great start anyway and trails the lead by two shots at -3.
