Peter Senior has opened with four birdies in his first eight holes this morning to take a four shot lead early on day two at the Australian PGA Championship.

In ideal scoring conditions, Peter birded the 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th holes to lead Peter O’Malley, who has also started with a rush, by four and Rod Pampling by five. Steve Collins, who shared the lead after round one with Senior opened with two early bogeys and has slipped back to trail his overnight co-leader by six shots.

Adam Scott has joined a large group at five under following an early birdie in his round.

Peter Lonard went the other way early slipping to three over through three holes of his second round but is back to two over for the day and two under for the tournament through eight holes.
