Swaim Leads US Women's Amateur Qualifying

American Courtney Swaim has taken the lead following the first round of stroke play at the 102nd U.S. Women's Amateur.

Swaim fired a -4 (67) to finish one shot ahead of defending champion Meredith Duncan, who closed with a -3 (68). Katherine Hull leads the three-way Australian attack at Even Par (71) and sits just four strokes off the pace.

After two rounds of stroke play, the lowest 64 scores will then move through to the match play rounds. The first two rounds of match play will take place on Wednesday (US time) with the third round and quarterfinals set for Thursday (US time). The semifinals are scheduled for Friday (US time) with the 36-hole final is being played on Saturday.
