Arnold Palmer to play at Bay Hill Invitational

Arnold Palmer will play in the Bay Hill Invitational presented by MasterCard for the 26th consecutive season the week of March 18-21. He is the only player who will have competed in the prestigious PGA TOUR tournament every year since it began its run in 1979 at his Bay Hill Club in Orlando, Florida.
Palmer's entry today provides added luster to an international field that is certain to be one of the strongest of the year. His decision to play again was influenced by the fact that he has a special lifetime exemption for the Bay Hill Invitational and is an addition to the limited-field event, therefore not taking a spot away from a currently-active PGA TOUR member. The exemption was created "in recognition of his remarkable career achievements, indelible contributions to golf and his role as host of the tournament."
The 74-year-old Hall of Fame great plays a limited schedule of events, primarily on the Champions Tour. It will be just his third tournament of 2004. He played in the season-opening MasterCard Championship and the Wendy's Champions Skin Game in Hawaii in January.
