Australian Michelle Ellis, Catriona Matthew and Gloria Park share the lead at -4 at the end of the second round of the Canadian Women’s Open. Ellis finished tied for second at last week’s British Open (her first top-10 finish on the Tour) and it seems her form is continuing this week.

Namika Omata posted a -4 (68) to close the day at -3 along with overnight leader, Kate Golden.

The lady who beat Ellis last week, is this week, having to settle for second place on the ANZ leaderboard and for Karrie Webb, that is surely not a place she enjoys being in. Webb sits in equal 6th after backing up her first round 72 with a -2 (70) today and is only two strokes off the pace. The surpise in the Top 15 is Jan Stephenson, whose year so far has been somewhat average. Stephenson posted a 71 to close the second round at -1 and goes in to day three in equal 11th. Rachel Teske was one of five Australasian players who missed the cut.
