After round one of the Japan PGA Championship in Kohchi in southern Japan was abandoned due to strong wind and rain, play is underway on day two with the first round being replayed.
One player who has benefited from the restart is New Zealander David Smail who was struggling yesterday when play was abandoned. Early on day two he is in second place at two under through six holes and two behind leader Keiichiro Fukabori who is four under through seven holes.
It is understood that the event will still remain a 72 hole tournament.
