Adam Scott, who currently sits just outside the World Top 50, has confirmed this week that he will play in all three major Australian events this season, which includes the Australian Open (Nov. 21st), Australasian PGA in Queensland (Nov. 28th) and the Australian Masters in Victoria (Dec. 5th).

So far the organisers of the Australian Open have yet to announce who will lead the billing at Australia’s biggest golf event of the season. Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood, who won the 1997 Australian Open, have been in discussion with the AGU but no firm agreement is yet in place.

Stephen Leaney has also confirmed his place at the Australian Open. Leaney has won two Victorian Opens (1995 and 1997) at the Victoria Golf Club and feels that this may give him an edge over the competition. Leaney currently sits at 126th in the world rankings and just inside the Top 40 on the European Order of Merit.
