Hend and Senden added to US Open list

John Senden and Scott Hend are further additions to the US Open field after making it through final qualifying for the US Open with Hend gaining the last spot at his venue in New Jersey after a ten man playoff for one spot. Hend was forced to wait overnight with four others including fellow Australian Peter Fowler to continue the playoff after five had been eliminated late on Monday.
John Senden joined Brendan Jones and Aaron Baddeley from his venue in Columbus, Ohio.
At this stage, with results still to come from Tuesday’s venues, twelve Australians and one New Zealander (Michael Campbell) have a place in the field for next week’s event.
