Scott claims Scottish PGA by ten strokes

Adam Scott fired an eagle, birdie and eagle over his final three holes for a -9 (63) and a ten stroke victory at the 2002 Scottish PGA Championship. Scott finished with a tournament record -26, beating the previous mark of -19 set by Pierre Fulke in 2000 by a massive seven shots.
The victory was the second of the year for Scott, who enjoyed yet another definitive six stroke victory at the Qatar Masters in March. Scotland’s Raymond Russell shot a -4 (68) and finished second at -16 while Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance was third with -17 after a final round of 67. Australian Scott Gardiner claimed his best finish of the year, closing the tournament in outright 4th at -12.
