Andrew McKenzie was the best of the Australians at the just completed Porter Cup in Niagara Falls when he finished in 7th place behind the winner Spencer Levin.

New South Welshman McKenzie, followed his brilliant third round 67 with a final round of two over par 72 to finish six shots behind Levin in the time honoured and prestigious event. Levin was the leading amateur at the US Open, finishing 13th at Shinnecock Hills.

West Australian Michael Sim and Queenslander Gavin Flint tied for 12th place two behind McKenzie. Last week’s Players Am Champion Aron Price was 23rd along with Luke Hickmott while James Nitties was 29th. Several of these golfers are vying for places in the Australian Eisenhower Cup Team with perhaps Nitties, Flint and Sim currently having the front running.
