Els through to semi at rain-delayed HSBC

The remaining quarter final between Miguel Angel Jiménez and Bernhard Langer will be played to a finish on Saturday morning after fading light caused them to stop play on the 29th hole with the Spaniard 3up with 8 to play. They will resume their match tomorrow morning.
Already through to the semi-finals are defending Champion Ernie Els, who beat Angel Cabrera by 1 Hole, Padraig Harrington who survived an injured hand to defeat Thomas Levet also by 1 Hole and Lee Westwood who saw off US Open Champion Retief Goosen 2 & 1.
In the semi-finals Harrington will take on Els, while Westwood will have to wait until Saturday to see who he plays.
