Another brilliant display by the Americans on day two of the Eisenhower Trophy, has seen them take an even greater lead with again Ryan Moore their standout with 67, and Spencer Levin chiming in with a solid 69. The Americans played the tricky Ocean Course today and although they were unable to match their brilliant start to the event yesterday, they have increased their lead to eight shots over Spain.

Moore was around in five under 67 to add to his opening 65 and he now leads the individual by four over Switzerland’s Nicloas Sulzer and by five over of Welsh golfer Nigel Edwards.

The Australians moved to 7th, that improvement very much the result of a five under 67 by James Nitties. Nitties has moved to fourth in the individual standings. The other Australian score to count on day two was that of Victorian Jarrod Lyle who went around in 74. The third member of the team, Michael Sim, who had the best score on day one, was let down today with a surprising 77.

The New Zealanders also made a move in the Teams event and are now in 33rd place after their leading player, Josh Geary, recorded a 69. Geary has moved to 14th in the individual.
