The PGA of Australia today announced that its Centenary Championship, the 2005 Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship will be held at Hyatt Regency Coolum from 1-4 December 2005.

The PGA also unveiled a special commemorative logo which will be used in conjunction with the tournament to mark this special occasion.

The Centenary Logo will be used on selected merchandise and memorabilia to be developed throughout the year as well as integrated into the telecast and tournament displays.

“A Centenary event is a unique milestone in any organisation. And whilst the PGA will be acknowledging the vast history of our Championship throughout this year, we have our eyes firmly on the future of the event,” said PGA CEO, Max Garske.

“The next hundred years is just as important to us as the first one hundred,” he added.

“That’s why we will be working with our Championship partners, Cadbury Schweppes, Queensland Events Corporation and Tourism Queensland, Hyatt Regency Coolum, Maroochy Shire Council, Srixon and the Tour to develop strategies to take this event forward.”
