Paul Sheehan recovered from a bad start to his second round at the AUD$1.2 million Tsuruya Open to share the 36 hole lead with Naomichi (Joe) Ozaki.
Sheehan, who led by three after day one, dropped four shots in the first fourteen holes and at that point trailed by two but two late birdies saw him finish with 73 and regain a share of the lead with the 48-year-old Ozaki, one of the famed Ozaki brothers. Ozaki added a 69 to his 67 yesterday to be at 6 under.
Hideki Kase is third, one shot behind the leading pair, with Queenslander Craig Jones amongst the group at four under just two shots out of the lead. Also at four under are S.K. Ho, Takuya Taniguchi and Yusaku Miyazato.
Steve Conran is not far away in 9th place at 2 under.
