Sheehan and Ozaki extend Tsuruya Open lead

Neither Joe Ozaki nor Paul Sheehan could break the deadlock in round three of the Tsuruya Open, both players shooting 67, but they have increased their one shot 36 hole lead to three as the tournament enters its final round tomorrow.
Sheehan led through the first nine holes when he turned one ahead of the 48-year-old veteran in three under 32. Ozaki reversed that one shot deficit to take the outright lead by one until the 18th when Sheehan produced the second of two closing birdies to regain a share of the lead.
That pair have broken away from Queenslander Craig Jones and Toyokazu Fujishima, who is playing just his third Japan Golf Tour event. Jones is looking for his first win in Japan and another good finish to follow his fourth placing at the season opening Token Homemate Cup a month ago.
Three players are four back and still very much in the hunt, namely Tomohiro Kondo, Mitsuo Harada and Takuya Tanguchi.
Steve Conran is in 14th place at four under.
