McFadyean charges to the front of SA PGA
IN: News | Von Nida | South Australian PGA Championship (2005) | Round Three | 28 Apr 2005
West Australian professional Tony McFadyean fired a brilliant 67 to take the third round lead at the South Australian PGA Championship currently being played at Grange (West) Golf Club.
McFadyean is one shot clear of Michael Curtain (Vic) who also played great golf for a five under 67. Staying in contention is SA amateur David Lutterus who continued to play solid golf with a return of 69.
Anthony Summers scored the low third round with a superb 66 putting him right in touch with the lead. Overnight leader Robin Hodgetts was disappointed with his par round, on a day when scoring was generally low.
Eight players remain within five shots of the lead, setting up an exciting final round when weather conditions are likely to be less than ideal.
