The final group has teed off at the 2009 ANZ Ladies Masters and it is Queensland’s Tamie Durdin, who plays alongside overnight leader Nikki Campbell on the JLPGA Tour, that has raced up the round three leaderboard with birdies coming at her 1st, 3rd, 9th and 10th holes.
Durdin, who came in to day three in equal 20th, will be looking to make amends after leading in to the final round of the 2008 ANZ Ladies Masters before falling away with a final round 76 to finish in equal 23rd.
World number five, Ji-Yai Shin, moved alongside Tamie Durdin in a tie for 4th with two birdies in her first three holes before giving one back at the short par 4 4th.
The overnight leaders have maintained their stanglehold at the top of the leaderboard with Nikki Campbell slipping back one shot to sit alongside Western Australia’s Kritie Smith, who managed to steady the ship after a bogey on her opening hole.
Queensland’s Katherine Hull, who is coming off the back of two runner-up placings at the New Zealand and New South Wales Opens, is even for the day and maintains her overnight 3rd position.
After a poor start to her 2008 LPGA campaign, Hull took her game to the next level with a victory at the Canadian Women’s Open in August and closed the season with prizemoney totalling US$1,045,619.00.
