It's Lee by one at Australian Amateur

Justine Lee holds a shaky one up lead over Taipei’s Wendy Tsai at the halfway mark of the Australian Amateur Championships final at Royal Queensland.

The 17-year-old at one stage held a commanding 4 up buffer through 14 holes but appeared to be tiring over the final stretch.

Consecutive bogeys on 15 and 16 narrowed the lead to 2 up and Tsai appeared to be gaining some momentum with a stunning birdie on the treacherous 447m par 5 18th to pull it back to within one.

Tsai is an impressive striker of the ball and nearly made the 18th green in two, threading her shot through several fairway bunkers.

The break has come at a handy time for Lee who will need to regather her thoughts before the girls head out for the final 18 holes at 12:40pm.
