In what must rate as the one of the largest representations of Australasians ever in any one event on the Nationwide Tour, sixteen are entered in the field for this week's Henrico County Open in Virginia.
Steve Bowditch, who is still second on the Nationwide Tour money list in 2005 despite disappointing weeks in his first two starts in the US, heads the list in terms of current standings but two players who have full USPGA Tour cards are also currently entered for the event.
Paul Gow and Bradley Hughes, who both graduated from the Nationwide Tour last year are here to ensure some continuity in their schedule while they await further starts on the PGA Tour.
Other Australasians in the field are Nathan Green, who last year finished runner up to Daniel Chopra in this event, Craig Carmichael, Greg Chalmers, Kim Felton, Scott Gardiner, Mathew Goggin, David McKenzie, James McLean, Anthony Painter, Cameron Percy, Ewan Porter, Grant Waite and Tim Wilkinson.
The Henrico County Open is played at the Curtis Strange designed course in Glen Allen, Virginia, with previous winners including recent PGA Tour winners Mark Hensby and Chad Campbell.
