Pettersen, Pak lead State Farm

BY Bruce Young | LPGA Tour | 2009 State Farm Classic | Round Two | 06 Jun 2009

Se Ri Pak and Suzann Pettersen lead the LPGA Tour’s State Farm Classic in Springfield Illinois by one shot over Kristy McPherson, Helen Alfredsson, Jee Young Lee, Kris Tamulis and Moira Dunn.

Pak has 24 LPGA Tour titles to her name but has not won since the Corning Classic in 2007 and her form to date in 2009 has given little indication that she was about to play as well as she has to date this week.

Pettersen on the other hand has not won this season although she has gone close on several occasions as she looks for her 6th LPGA Tour victory.

The best of the Australians is Katherine Hull in 16th position and four behind the lead, Sarah Jane Smith is 33rd, while Sarah Kemp and Anna Rawson are in 60th position and have just made the cut. Karrie Webb surprisingly missed the cut.
